Personally I for upgrading both BIND and Sendmail. Most of people will run 2.2-STABLE for a long time until 3.0 will become stable.
And you're prepared to answer every single question from -stable people who's DNS servers suddenly fall over? :)
And: "Sendmail requires a version 8 config, /etc/sendmail.cf is only version 7" etc etc.
As I said before, it requires a sendmail.cf rebuild and a bind configuration file to be converted (with a script) to a new syntax.
This is not a light decision to take...
Agreed, but we made stuff like that happen in 2.1-stable for 2.2 that required rebuilds of stuff, so the precedent is set and it didnt' negatively affect folks as much.
