Hi Bryan and co:
I just ran into a business policy issue and after looking at what we need and
how we can work around it for now, it dawned on me that a single feature in
Eventum could address my problem. Here it is:
When creating email, either with the "Send Email" or "Reply" button, it would
be perfect if there was an attachment field. In this section, it should have a
combo box which is populated with all of the files that are already attached to
the issue, allowing you to select one or many files. If the user clicks a
"browse" button instead to pull up a local file, then that file should be sent
out via the email AND attached/uploaded to the issue itself as well.
Since Eventum has such great email integration, we now have departments in
the company that are "using" Eventum without even realizing that they are.
Their communications with us are all auto-tracked and logged into the Eventum
issues that spawned the emails in the first place. However this lack file
attachment issue is a caveat that is now causing us grief. We would like to
keep Eventum transparent to these certain user groups and allow us to move files
out of the system to them via email with ease. I've seen a lot of requests
for bells and whistle, but this feature has merit to it that I think a lot of
folks would appreciate.
