The problem is with virtual users, where only Courier-IMAP knows which
users exist and which not. Coupling Courier-IMAP with non-native MTAs
requires more or less beautiful "hacks" to make the users known to the
MTA.
What do you think about an option for Courier-IMAP to make unknown user
a temporary failure? There are people out there who _can_ make this
concious decision. :-) This problem pops up every few days/weeks here on
the list...
