There is a setting that controls the maximum number of records returned in
a query.
Start MySQL control centre then right click on the server you are
interested in and select 'Edit'.
You should get a small tabbed form containing settings for the server.
Select the tab marked 'MySQL Options'.
Once there you should see a box marked 'Automatically limit SELECT quiries
to' you can alter the number of records returned here and, if I remember
rightly, you can switch the limit off altogether by entering a value of 0.
I must warn you that setting a 0 limit can eat an awfull lot of system
resources on your pc if the database is quite large.
Hope this helps guys.
