Thank you, Sam. You have written a truly wonderful piece of software, it's just a little difficult to configure and the documentation is slightly programmerish.

I have the authldap working with cleartext passwords now. What I really need is to be able to store salted md5 passwords in the directory and have authldap authenticate.

Any ideas?

Thanks! Mike

You're searching here for "LDAP@mydomain.com"

LDAP_MAIL mail

You're searching for attribute mail=LDAP@mydomain.COM

dn: cn=ldap mailtest, dc=mydomain, dc=com cn: ldap mailtest sn: mailtest objectClass: top objectClass: person objectClass: inetOrgPerson objectClass: qmailUser mail: ldap@directory.mydomain.com

The mail attribute in this entry is not LDAP@mydomain.COM
