Thank you for answering.
We currently do not use the WorkerPool abstraction - just LocalServer and Database. From your answer, I conclude that we might have to get familiar with WorkerPool as well as a prerequisite to avoiding the multiple security prompts.

Sorry, I meant to poke Chris on this, but then forgot.
Anyway, the answer to your question is that in the next beta of gears (within a couple week or so, we hope), you will be able to start up a worker for another domain and talk to it using sendMessage() without triggering a dialog for that domain.
Right now, the new domain doesn't permanently inherit the permissions of the calling domain, but that is something we have thought of enabling.

Is anyone in a position to answer these questions? It would be very appreciated.

Our application uses multiple domains. This triggers a security prompt for each of them - rather annoying for any user. Thus my questions:
Is there a way to combine the permission request for multiple domains into one dialog?
Now or planned for the future?
I've also heard that there is discussion to entirely drop the security prompt. Is this still the current thinking? If yes, when would this happen?
Thanks for your feedback.
