I agree, and I wouldn't complain if not for the reason that you've pinpointed - how can Google endorse this library and have a link from their page with no trace of warning or disclaimer. I know they are busy, but I think it is a pretty bad oversight. My take on this - just by looking at the changes for v.4 it will took a pretty major overhaul of that code but then Sourceforge states activity on that project at 97.9% which is a good sign. Please keep me updated on your status as well
