Hi, any ETA on when will this be fixed ? It would really be useful to keep track of published popularity. I tried and it is still not working.

Okay we have a fix for this. It will be in the next release. Adding the xmlns attribute should not affect your script tag we just are not properly handling the other attributes.

Paul, in my case, it is not only replacing the src tag, but mangling the line:

Original: <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">

Mangled: <script xmlns:html="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

Seehttp://rsspresence.googlemashups.com/index.gml(just before <gm:page />) for the statcounter code Seehttp://rsspresence.googlemashups.com/View->Source for how it mangles it

Okay we found the issue. The Compiler is selectively stripping out src attributes in script tags when creating the HTML page, does this sound like the issue you are experiencing?

This is a bug and will be fixed soon. Sorry for the issues, please bare with us.

Paul,

If I add CDATA around it, GME tells me that it cannot find <gm:page /> (so doesn't compile)

If I don't add CDATA, then GME mangles the script

Seehttp://rsspresence.googlemashups.com/index.gml(justbefore <gm:page />) for the statcounter code

Seehttp://rsspresence.googlemashups.com/View->Source for how it mangles the statcounter <script> part with some xmlns declaration

thx

You should be able to add any JS to the page. Are you inlining the JS or linking to it using a script tag? If you are including the script inline in the gml file you might want to put CDATA tags around it. I'm interested to understand the issue. Do you mind sending the script along with any identification so we can take a look?

Hi, I tried inserting the statcounter code to keep a track of who is accessing my mashup. However, it looks like when I publish the mashup GME mangles the script.

I'd love to see a way we can add some counter code (even if it is a solution where it automatically ties to google analytics) to keep track of popularity and who is accessing.- Hide quoted text -
