Can you please let me know whether the name value pairs &safe=on &safe=images &safe=off

are APIs for filtering offensive websites from the search results.

I tried those name, value pairs and they worked irrespective of the previously set preferences.

What I want to know is 1. whether the name, value pairs are official (since they are not listed in the API page). If they are official can you please list them in your API reference site. 2. whether API WONT change in the future. 3. whether search string appended with &safe=on overrides the preferences previously set by the user.
