If there is no existing program to open .rpi files (I haven't used REALBasic, so I don't know) you could simply have your own program open them -- then you can display the recipes as you'd like the user to see them.

If you think this might interfere with REALBasic's file associations, simply change the file extension to, say, .recipe, (assuming that REALBasic will still open your database even if it has a different extension.)
