Hi,

I don't want to be rude but how is it even possible that a problem with this scale haven't been solved by google in 2 weeks.. That's just strange.

Sorry I don't want to post my sites address here because I don't want it to be found through "help page" when someone is using google search (lowers the mental image of my site) but Sam said it:

A. a block of adsense and B. a google gadget C. paste together on the same page and D. press re-load. The latter loading of the two will stop working. Switch or comment out one to verify.

Hi,

Can you please post the URL to the page where you're encountering the problem? There isn't a fix, yet that I'm aware of, it would be helpful to have more sources of information.

Thanks, Dan

So, is there any change to this bug? I have the same bug with my website and i really can't disable either adsense nor the gadget. What's the situation with the fix Google? Is there some workaround to get adsense and gadgets working together?

Thanks for all your input here String. Much appreciated for a newb to the gadgets group like myself ;) I will have to hang out here more often and figure this gadgets thing out. There's got to be some way we can make one work for the site!!

Sam,

Patience... It's likely that Google will fix this bug, as you point out it does affect two of their major properties. Work around it for now, but don't give up on the Gadgets API entirely. The traffic a good gadget can generate is truly phenomenal, as I'm sure many other contributors on this group could attest to.

Bummer, that's what I thought. I've disabled adsense again. One of the main reasons for choosing a google gadget there in the first place was testing the uptake for potential advertising using google gadgets. But if those google gadget ads are going to be incompatible with regular adsense units I doubt many sites are going to be using them anyway, so might just have to drop the thought of advertising through google gadgets.

Maybe it works on a pc; will check in a sec.

Nope, at least not on ie6. Also not on safari etc. on mac.

Not working on FF/Win either. Odd. Must be something else going on in there, but I don't know what at this point.

Given it's a URL gadget, you should be able to replace it quite easily with a simple iframe pointing tohttp://travellerspoint.momondo.com/iGoogle.aspx. As you said, avoid the Gadget API altogether.
