At ReShape we use Perforce with for our Linux development environment. Her are some of the things we like about it:
Perforce does quite nicely with NFS/NIS served partitions.
Perforce is fast.
Easy branching and branch reintegration.
It's not ClearCase (don't bash me for this one, my users fell very strongly about this...)
Simple client controls.
Perforce is fast.
My users like the power they have in the client specification to include or exclude files, file types, or directories.
Easy to learn.
Fairly inexpensive.
Perforce is fast.
This is all from my user base. When they consider all the pluses and minuses of the tools they have ever used (PVCS, ClearCase, CVS, RCS, etc) they think Perforce is the best solution they have used. It seems to work great on any platform on which it run.
As an admin, I could wish for a few more features and gadgets, but it is my current favorite.
