You most certainly typed in the contents of the maildirfilterconfig file manually.

what it seems to me that this filter is not being executed at all.. i dont think (however it's possible) that this filter is not correct but then again it was generated by sqwebmail so i'd assume it'd be correct...

It is correct, as far as sqwebmail is concerned. It is your responsibility to enter the correct information into maildirfilterconfig, as well as to configure your mail server to use maildrop as the local mail delivery agent, according to instructions in the README. That does not happen by magic.
