I think that we were considering CommuniGate Pro initially that is why there
wasn't much thought given to this method.

Our first attempt with Perl was half hearted one to say the truth, I am
sure that we shall give it a proper run this time around. I shall try
and read up my awk/sed. I guess that its back to the drawing board if
the cost of that software is too high.
Well, I'm sure the perl folks around here (myself included) wouldn't mind
giving you a few pointers. I personally avoid awk/sed, since I work with
Perl for about 75% of my job anyway.
