Yes, well I knew that. But what I didn't realize was that maildrop is only operating on the 'header' not the message 'envelope.' If I've expressed that correctly it would certainly be the answer to my question.

I guess that leads me to the question of why it (maildrop) works that way. qmail must have the envelope somewhere, so why can't / doesn't maildrop have an option to scan it?
