I am considering extending the details panel to include an embedded flash player as an ActiveX control. This would of course display a flash movie that contained more details about the movie (not just theaters and showtimes).

You bring up an interesting point though in mentioning syndication, and I have no idea how big of an issue this is, but how bad is it if I were to parse/scrape the movie's details from, say, the IMDB page and get the image and blurb or whatever out of it? I figure as long as you link to their page somewhere, you're driving users to them. That isn't such a bad thing, but I don't want to get in trouble so I'm not totally sure if it's worth the time - especially since the IMDB page is anything but XML-based.
