Hello!

How about latency? We're looking into deploying MySQL cluster with 4 data nodes and 4 sql nodes in 2 locations which are connected with a 100Mbit link, but distant about 150 km. Does this sound possible at all?

Most likely not a very good idea. If you're link has any kind of glitches this will cause heartbeats to be missed quickly and response time in cluster will also be not very good, lots of traffic will pass on the interconnect between the sites.
