It's not just you. On my PowerBook G4, GS v6.0.277 for Mac OS X (10.3.9) only shows Sketchup and ACAD as import format options :(

I've downloaded another copy (trashing prefs and all related files) and still there is no option in File/Import for me to put in JPEGs, only Sketchup and ACAD files. I think I'll go back to V5
