It would be nice if there was a way for a gadget developer to force an
update of the cache for their gadget...

That goes for descriptions, images, stats, everything. It even takes a
week to get your gadget out of the directory if you delete the XML.
It's annoying sometimes, as in your case or when you have a typo in
your text, but that's the way it is. If your new image hasn't shown up
a week from now, then post back here and perhaps Gordy or Dann can do
something about it.
