Yes, display is broken, ie garbled, shifted, and jagged, with
Antialiasing ON, and when selecting, AND any floating tool bar is
overlaying the model screen area. A key fact to take note of is that
everything works fine when I move or close any tool bars so that they
don't overlay the model screen area!!!!
I've reviewed many of the prior threads regarding this problem and I
haven't seen any mention of undesirable interaction with the tool bars
overlaying the screen and Antialiasing. I think that Google SU ought
to take a serious look at this rather than repeat the same old
response that it is the video card or driver vendor that can't quite
be 100% compliant with OpenGL 1.5 or greater. Other than boilerplate
statements like that, I don't see any compelling evidence that makes
Google SU the sole expert on OpenGL compliance. I'm running an nVidia
8600GT with the latest 163.71 drivers. SU is the only OpenGL
application I run that shows such obvious problems. If my video card
or drivers were at fault, I doubt that my display would work fine when
the model screen area is clear of toolbars. There are now enough
OpenGL apps to motivate nVidia (or ATI) to be compliant. I remember
back when @Last used to recommend nVidia over ATI for OpenGL
compliance.
