Hi David,

I've tried several times to have a MySQL User Group listed on the page: http://dev.mysql.com/user-groups/

But, I have never received any responses to my requests using the Feedback form as instructed.

Hmm, it appears there's a problem there - I'm chasing that up.

Does MySQL have some system of preference as to which groups are considered part of the official "Community"? It would be nice to know the exact requirements that have to be met.

Being active is good.

We are not the biggest group, but we have an organizer (ME) and meet regularly. We are seriously trying to grow our group, and it seems that a listing on the MySQL User Group page could help.

Certainly. I've added it, and it should appear on the live site soon.

If you can, please change the name from 'meetup' to 'user group' - this more accurately depicts your focus of presenting and discussing news, rather than merely hanging out over a beer at a bar... Since you're the group organizer, you should be able to do this in your meetup.com admin pages. I've did it for Brisbane, and it's worked well (together with other things, of course).

How does one get the attention of Arjen Lentz (MySQL AB, Community Relations Manager), or is someone else responsible?

You can always send me a direct email, or the community (at) mysql (dot) com alias to catch me or one of my colleagues. I thought all user group organisers did in fact have my email address already.

Regards, Arjen.
