You don't say what maildrop, you don't say what OS or distribution this is, you detail:

No one claimed it was - it is a runtime linker error ...

It looks like some libs are not being installed, e.g. libunicode. Building it statically works, but for certain distributions like Fedora (where I'm trying to import this package)

What does "where I'm trying to import this package" imply?

A peer review and an approval. But why are these details of importance?

Anyway, Sam's response was indeed helpful and I know now what I need to do, thanks anyway!
