Hi Tee,

I haven't heard of anything quite like what you're describing, but lets make sure I understand what's happening. It sounds like you're opening Google Earth and finding your location, then going back into SketchUp and selecting "Get current view." When it imports into SketchUp you're seeing four layers, rather than the normal two? Building on any of these layers results in a misplaced model when you export back to Earth.

To troubleshoot this, one thing to make sure of is that you don't have 3D Buildings Layer check in Google Earth before importing. If you're still having trouble it would probably be helpful to know which versions of Earth, SketchUp, and OSX you're using, and maybe someone else has seen a similar problem.

when I get current view I get the two layers but each layer has two separate and distorted snaps of the image (for a total of four) viewed in Google-earth.  I tried building a model on it but it places the model off where it might be. Has anyone encountered this?
