Subject:[courier-users] basic imap and esmpt security - howto?Actions...

it seems basic security would be: - imap = secure login = encrypted over internet - esmptp = must login to use = encrypted over internet = not seen as open relay

impad - ran mkimapdcert - imapd-ssh = IMAPD_TLS_REQUIRED 1 - on mail client (mozilla) = Use secure connection (SSL) = Port 993 - everything OK (I think)! (thank you MrSam)

esmptd - do I use same certificate, ie, copy imapd.pem to esmptd.pem? - (and how to use same certificate as https?) - how set up esmpt server (ordinary internet clients)? - how set up email client? - no luck here yet

for now Outbox - right now using Outbox for IMAP delivery on internet - works pretty nicely, but user training issues - (if mail clients would support it better...) - also, would be nice if Outbox were scrubbed upon delivery!

any insights would be appreciated
