Is there a way to hack submit2.C to stop the bounces?

For the moment I've simply commented out lines from 539 to 556 in submit2.c. It stopped all bounces with the reason "RFC2045 violation". In addition I've changed default value for is8bit variable from 0 to 1 in line 521. It helped to stop 8th bit stripping in some multipart MIME messages.
