Great work Gully. I added the instructions you gave Gip to the FAQ.

I must say I'm baffled by the need to modify this procedure.

When Gip told me the original procedure didn't work (but that it did move his main window), it became evident that unchecking and rechecking the errant dialog from the Window menu was no longer giving it focus, as it most certainly used to do, but that the main application window was keeping focus. I was able to confirm this on my own machine.

Further experimentation revealed that collapsing all the open dialogs and then checking the missing dialog does give it focus, allowing the system menu Move command to work for the off screen window.

But why has this changed? I am using SU version 6.4.112, as I have been for months. I'm fairly certain that the original system menu trick has worked more recently than that.

The only possibly relevant change I've made to my system in the last few months has been to install Win XP SP3, but how would that affect the way SU dialogs work? I'm stumped.

Any ideas Tommy? Anyone?
