I've got two URLs that are identical except for the number of data points. The shorter one produces a simple chart, and the longer one produces a plain white PNG with no data on it-- even though it gives an HTTP 200 response instead of the "malformed or illegal request" error.
Both are using chart type "lc" with four data sets and text encoding. In the shorter one (the one that works) each data set has 45 values, and in the longer one (the one that doesn't work) each set has 50 values. I don't see anything in the documentation that suggests the longer one is over some limit. Did I miss something?
Looking through this group's archives, I see that this has come up before and that URL length has been suggested as the problem. However in this case the longer URL is only 610 characters long, and in other cases I've used longer URLs without trouble.
The URL that works normally is:
