I can search on numeric strings in the description with no problem. Are you sure there is no other filter being applied that excludes the results you're looking for? Do you only have the release numbers in the descriptions of closed issues and "Hide Closed Issues" is checked?
Anything beyond that is probably beyond my remote troubleshooting skills with Eventum :)

Thanks for the quick response, but neither the _ (underscore) or the % (percent) work for this. Could it be because they are numeric strings?

You can use the MySql single character wildcard '_' in place of the dots.
e.g. search for x_y_z_a_b
I use the general wildcard '%' to make the search 2 keywords only return issues with both keywords (in order, but there it is...)
e.g. time%entry will return issues with the words 'time' AND 'entry' in that order - not issues with 'time' OR 'entry'

Hi All,
We have a convention here where we describe our releases with the following notation x.y.z.a.b which each field delimited by the period (dot). If I put these strings into the keyword search screen, I don't get any hits even though I know that many instances of that string occurs in he description fields.
How can I get this to work. Work Arounds accepted!
Thanks,
Barry
