Hello once more,

perhaps some more info concerning my problems mentioned in my previous mails:

I try to register the mm.mysql-driver in my java-applications, using the JSDK 1.3.1, driver version 2.0.4,.6,.9,.11 The registering of the driver seemed to work. I have set up several mysql-installations on different machines, using different installation hints given in the commented mysql-manual. All of these installations i can access from different machines than "localhost" using the standard mysql tool. All of them i can access with my self-written java-code and the mm.mysql-driver from win98. NONE of these mysql-installations i can access from a WinNT4.0- or Win2k-machine using the same java-code, even the Solaris-mysql is not accessable. The error-message i get is always the same:

"java.sql.SQLException: Cannot connect to MySQL server on 139.174.135.193:3306. Is there a MySQL server running on the machine/port you are trying to connect to? (java.net.SocketException)"

It would be great help for me if i would get message of some people telling me that they either a) had no problems using the driver with that jsdk or b) encountered the same problems i have now.

If noone has had problems like these i'd be glad to know that there must be a way to get things working, and if noone ever tried configurations like these i will try to develop a completely different solution for my database-connection...
