mysqld doesn't seem to stay put on just one network interface. box: win95 (any MS OS) multihomed machine with NIC and dialup, no IP forwarding. firewall such as Tiny Personal Firewall with the MySQL port on the dialup internet side blocked. mysqld configured to serve up to the NIC only

I find mysqld is hitting the firewall and breaking - it wants to get out throught the dialup. mysqladmin also fails. MS DUN makes itself tops on the net by making its metric 1. Why won't it stay on the NIC I specified? Whether or not I have already connected to the internet does make a difference.
