Should anyone need a somewhat more supported product with more free example, J/Invoke (http://www.jinvoke.com/) may be worth the look. Personally I considered both J/Invoke and JNA and found that JNA was better value for the money (obviously ;-)). However, if mr Hackett feels that the support and examples provided for JNA is insufficient, J/Invoke may be the better alternative if one is willing to pay.
