Subject:[p4] Using typemap to specify +w only

Hi all,

I am setting up a directory which holds project files. Some files are text files, some are binary files. I want to specify that each file that gets added to that directory will be writable on client (i.e. +w filetype), but I do not want to overwrite the text/binary decision. This is because many files, of many projects, will go there, Both textual project files (which contain lists of source file names etc), and binary files (i.e. .dll, .lib). I want those files to be writable on any client that syncs them, and I want to be able to merge text files.

I wish I could simply put in the typemap file something like '+w //depot/project/...', without having to explicitly specify text or binary.

Any ideas ?

Thanks, Oren.
