We use Perforce in a NT/Solaris/HPUX/SunOS environment. Being able to share source trees between Unix and NT has been a major benefit for us.
The fact that NT swallows (and at times even modifies) case information in file names has been a major problem (even with P4CASE set).
The following features would be quite useful -
a) Perforce Administrator Role:
P4 allows users certain privileges that seem inappropriate - such as allowing a user to submit changes created by another user. For security, and so a user may not overextend herself, P4 should provide for a 'P4 Administrator' - a P4 user with more privileges than other users.
b) Perforce Depot Sanity Check Utility:
Recently a power surge damaged some of my perforce depot files. I had to restore from Unix backup and recreate the depot ( I didn't have P4 journalling on).
It would be useful to have a P4-fsck (similar to Unix fsck) to verify the depot sanity and even repair the depot, should that be possible.
Other than these, we've found perforce solving a lot of problems for us. Plus their tech support is, I think, excellent.
