Hi All,

I would like to use mysql as my backend database, and connect to it from another
(Matchware) front-end. Matchware says it can use ODBC compliant sources.

So I today downloaded the mysql odbc driver and installed it. It asked me for
some info:

- DNS name - Host name - Database name - User - Password - Port if non-standard is used

I entered this (similar to my phpMyAdmin info requested upon installation)

BUT when I try to connect either from Matchware or MS Excel 2000, it returns me
an error txc myodb error: Access denied for user_name@localhost using
password=yes

Does anyone have any idea how to set this up correctly? I am sure I am missing
something in the configuation, but not sure what.
