Has anyone seen a situation where a Eudora user connects to courier-imap, and instead of being downloaded, the mail just gets moved from the new into the cur folder?

I am on the phone with him. I can send him email, then ls his Maildir/new directory and see the message there. I tell him to connect. I see him connecting in the logfile window. I see him disconnecting in the logfile window. But he sees no email, and when I look back at his Maildir, the message I sent is gone from new and has appeared in cur.

We checked his filters; he says he added a new filter to put everything into one folder, which was still empty after checking mail as described above.

This is getting kinda frustrating -- any ideas as to what might be going on? Thanks in advance for any help.
