I am trying out Sketchup on a HP 2.8Ghz P4 desktop running Windows 2000 sp4 . . .

whenever I run Sketchup it works fine the first time then any attempts to run it again are greeted with a menu bar tab opening and closing in a blink of an eye and then nothing. . .

if I restart the computer then I can open the application again .. but just once .. every time I close the application I MUST RESTART MY COMPUTER before I can use it again . . .

any ideas?
