No, you want someone to chew and swallow your food for you. You don't want to read any documentation, you just want someone to tell you what to do.

Access to debug information is not handholding, it as a basic requirement of any software package. Lack of debug information means only one thing: the programmer was too lazy to finish the job properly.

I threw out sqwebmail because it refused to work and refused to log why - of course I could dig through a telephone book worth of documentation, mailing list archives and FAQs, but I shouldn't have to.

The point behind software is to get a job done, not to make a statement at how stupid the world is. Help the user, don't hinder them.
