Does the menu option "Index status" tell us if the new file got indexed? The "Desktop Search Status" page shows the time of newest item for file, Web history, and so on. If the time of file i created is later than the time of newest item, that means GDS does not index it yet.

Also, i created a short cut link on my disk, after about 30 minute i still did not get the windows explorer open and also the time of newest item for file shown is before the file is created. Some people mentioned GDS would index the file immediately. I just don't see that happens to me
