I truly hope that the Windows version of MySQL is not to be released under GPL. I was certain that MySQL had a future... Now it will be just like Nutscrape... Free but forgotten. Tis sad to see such a promising product brought to the shame of GPL. The UNIX version I can see as a GPL/GNU because of the variations of UNIX... yet, the Windows version had more promise because it could be written specifically for Windows. Now there will be hundreds of variations of MySQL as there are Netscape, etc...

As sad as I am... I may as well take advantage of it... What are the changes to the licensing... ??? Do license fees still exist?

Sadly,
