Hi all

I used courier-imap for a very long time and several months ago I replaced it with courier. There are very many problems with it:(

1. "8-bit text, which violates RFC 2047". A lot of mail in Russia is going with 8-bit subjects. Sorry, this is not RFC-compliant but that is our life. We cannot enforce everyone to setup Outlook properly. Could courier be more polite with these messages (optionally, not by default). Please please please please do something with this. BTW, several times my freshmeat(!!!) mailing list message were reject because of 8-bit problem.

2. Sometimes when I fetch the mail using fetchmail, courier drops the connection. Fetchmail says: Nov 28 10:54:23 udaltsoft fetchmail[5525]: reading message 1 of 159 (1912 octets) Nov 28 10:54:25 udaltsoft fetchmail[5525]: SMTP connect to localhost failed Nov 28 10:54:25 udaltsoft fetchmail[5525]: SMTP transaction error while fetching from pop.convey.ru Probably, this is fetchmail's but but with sendmail it worked. Could anyone please give me any idea how to debug this from the courier side?
