We run this command once a week:

p4 changes -l -s submitted //depot/library/... at nnnn#have

It seems to take a long time, even though the output is rather small. Also, it seems to lock up the database while it's doing it's thing.

Should it be so? Are there server tweaks that will alleviate this problem? Is there a better way to get the results we want?
