Colin,

Deselect everything, turn on View > Hidden Geometry, and then start the Unfold tool.

If you have geometry selected before starting the Unfold, unfold will try to unfold it automatically - and will pick a random face as a reference. It's an odd feature, I know.

I downloaded this and got it onto SU, but it seemed to more explode the object than to unfold it! For example, try unfolding a sphere! It makes a bunch of random squares in a pretty pattern that you could never use for paper, etc. Am I doing something wrong? is it possible to convert spheres to "orange-peel" projections? That would be awesome! Thanks! Colin
