Anyway, using kdevelop means you are also using Qt and Qt has very good support of RDBMS.

Look at URL: http://doc.trolltech.com/3.2/sql.html for more information and examples.

With kdevelop if you create either a KDE or Qt app you do not have anything else to do other to make sure that you have installed the Qt plugin for MySQL
