We have started to use branches and are encountering problems whilst Client
Specs are in a slight state of flux.
I have an engineer who has synchronised to the depot. Checked-out and
locked some files.
Then requiring a fix from another section of the depot has added this
section into the client spec and then synchronised this section to a
numbered changed list.
When viewing the other files which have been locked P4Win is now reporting
that the user has a previous version of the file. Diffing the file on the
machine with the depot reveals that it is the latest. This is the version
that P4Win would have synced to if the whole of the client workspace had
been synced to the changelist.
I suspect that there may have been a problem around the sync to changelist.
How can this occur ?
How can I remedy this situation quickly. Can I make perforce update it's
view of the client to match the actual client versions.
This user is encountering a few issues with Perforce and their confidence is
droppping in the tool.
