List:com.mysql.lists.cluster

only this: /usr/local/mysql/bin/ndb_restore -n 1 -m -b 3 -r /var/lib/mysql-cluster/BACKUP/BACKUP-3/ Ndb version in backup files: Version 4.1.14 Failed to connect to ndb!!

OK, so it cant connect to the cluster.

Please post the following:

the last 10 lines of the .err file in DataDir on the storage node that you run ndb_restore on the output from ndb_mgm's SHOW command

and I can try to be more helpful!

So what error does it give you now when you run your ndb_restore command on your storage node(s)?

All db nodes are up and the "No free node id found for mysqld(API).)" error was onli at first when i did not have any free nodes. There is no error in the log, it only sais this:

2005-09-10 10:09:37 [MgmSrvr] INFO -- Mgmt server state: nodeid 11 reserved for ip xx.xx.xx.16, m_reserved_nodes 0000000000000880. 2005-09-10 10:10:09 [MgmSrvr] INFO -- Mgmt server state: nodeid 11 freed, m_reserved_nodes 0000000000000080.

Do you still get the same error when you run ndb_restore? xx.xx.xx.xx:port 1186: No free node id found for

mysqld(API).)

Are both storage nodes connected and "started"?

What happens if you run PURGE STALE SESSIONS in ndb_mgm then try?

That is your answer, I think.

You need one [mysqld] section PER storage node I seem to remember.

There is also no particular reason to define the ID - just add

[mysqld] [mysqld] [mysqld]

To the bottom of config.ini and restart.
