I've made default install of courier. It created some direcotry /var/courier/tmp/ in this directory is sometimes created new one for example 96780/ and I guess there are stored spooled mails. But I have found when those mails are broken then it can stay there forever.

They won't stay there forever.

It was ther efor last three days. Somebody is trying to deliver us huge email and it always get corrupted. So it was nearly to fill up all disk free space.

So as I understand it will be deleted by courier automaticaly, so don't worry about things ?
