I don't seem to see this file, probably due to using an rpm
can anyone clue me in?
If you don't see it in your installation, then it wasn't compiled. Did
you put "authvchkpw" in your authmodulelist manually, or was it there as
part of the rpm package?
You may need to rebuild courier-authlib and check the output from the
configure script, or the build process to figure out why it can't
compile vpopmail support.
You can also search the MARC archives for some hints:
http://marc.info/?l=courier-users&w=2&r=1&s=vpopmail&q=b
Yah, I tried to compile it
./configure --with-redhat --without-authuserdb --without-authpam
--without-authldap --without-authpwd --without-authshadow
--with-mailuser=vpopmail --with-mailgroup=vchkpw
then a make:
<snip>
Compiling authdaemon.c
authdaemon.c:1: error: bad value (generic) for -mtune= switch
make[2]: *** [authdaemon.lo] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/src/courier-authlib-0.59.3'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/src/courier-authlib-0.59.3'
make: *** [all] Error 2
so I installed the rpm.
I wouldn't make it an issue except for users can't authenticate against
vchkpw
