Hello again,

OK i finally got 0.30 compiled and installed (there may be an issue with the
reiserfs filesystem? i could not get it working at all until i re-installed my
Mandrake system using the linux native ext2fs - then it at least compiled and i
could create the RPMS - i choose the same options in both the reiserfs and
ext2fs installs - just thought i would mention that little piece of info).

this is my problem now - i configured everything to use PAM - and when I install
the RPMS - all the symbolic links are set-up in /etc/pam.d/ directory, and
everything looks good.

when i try to authenticate, or send a mail, i get the following error: "tower courierd:
id=00006ED8.3A50F24B.000019F9,from=<>,addr=<ts...@tower.asf.2y.net>: 550 User
unknown."

the user does exist and a can olg in as the user - this is my test user that i
am using to run all the post install checks outlined in the courier html docs.

Also when i try to expn a user while telneted to port 25, the esmtp daemon
reports that the "user is not known"

i think i have gone through every script and told it to use authpam, and not
auth daemon. Courier did detect ldap and mySQL and it built the RPMS for both
of these, and they are installed, althought when i remove them, i still get the
same errors. is there another way to force authpam, i really don't want to recompile with the
--without-ldap --withou.......options.
