*cough* I'm a fan of good quality control but don't toot the Jakarta Commons' horn too much. eg: the current "stable" GenericObjectPool is about 1.7 years old now and behaves the exact opposite of how it's documented to work: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=33264 (it's a LIFO, not a FIFO).
