Hi There Ms Linux -
Try using the mysql encrypt function instead of md5.... it works for
me! (I am also running debian with courier)... Courier is very picky
and doesn't give much help when there are problems with the authmysqlrc
config - so double check everything!

hello world ....
I'm sorry for maybe this question is obvious.
I'm currently using debian unstable with 2.6.8 smp
kernel, postfix with mysql and tls support,
postfixadmin (web admin ) and courier.
Since I'm just a noobie, I've been following some
howtos at the high5 website.
Everything went OK, the maildir created successfully,
but somehow I can't log in into the pop3 server.
Everytime I type the password, it says that login
failed.
I think it has relation into encryption password
during email user creation. The password is encrypted
into MD5.
I heard that MD5 encryption between courier and mysql
is not compatible.
OK, maybe my story is not clear yet so I'm looking
forward to which configuration should be applied to
this forum.
Thanks a lot for your attentions.
cheers,

I love Linux but how many years will I wait to have awesome games run on
my linux box ???
During that time I will always have dual boot ....
